Is ELCOME’s US$2,495 plan available to every UAE vessel?
No. ELCOME describes it as a specific offer for eligible IMO-registered cargo or tanker vessels, with final eligibility determined by Starlink. It is not presented as a general yacht, pleasure-craft or residential plan.
Is the ELCOME merchant-vessel offer still open?
The page showed conflicting dates when checked on 1 September 2026: older application and activation dates in its FAQ, but a later call-to-action saying apply by 30 November 2026. Obtain current written confirmation from ELCOME before relying on the offer.
Can Starlink be used in UAE territorial waters?
Starlink says coverage in territorial waters and in-motion use is contingent on government approval, and its help material applies plan-specific conditions. Verify the route, plan and UAE requirements before operation.
Should a yacht use the Residential plan?
Do not use a household plan as a maritime assumption. In-motion water use, global or ocean coverage and vessel equipment have separate plan and regulatory conditions.
