Is upload speed important for remote CCTV?

Yes. Camera count, codec, resolution, frame rate, motion, retention and remote viewing determine the upstream load. Model those inputs before selecting a plan.

Should CCTV be exposed directly to the public internet?

Avoid unnecessary direct exposure. Use secure vendor architecture, VPN or managed access, strong credentials, updates and network separation appropriate to the risk.

Can a UAE business use a residential Starlink plan?

Starlink’s published plan descriptions should be checked for the intended use. Do not select a household plan for business or enterprise work unless the current official terms explicitly permit it.
